Dear Evelyn: -
Hubert and I are so glad that you and Gerald are coming over for the week-end, it was beginning to look like you were just fooling.
We were so disappointed that you all couldn’t come over for New Years Eve we went to a dance and had a grand time.
There won’t be a club dance Saturday night and one of our friends like to go to Public ones so I thought it best just to ask several couples out here especially since Gerald was such a horse to get to go to the other one when Holland and Georgia were here.
We were all worn out before the dance from working on him.
I’m not going to write to him, Evelyn so will you tell him I want some mineral spirits and some furniture polish, you know they have to be bought at Standard stations through your dealer and since we don’t have a car its never convenient for me to get them.
Last time he came I had him bring a ball of yarn so he’ll probably think it’s awful.
We sure did appreciate your pretty Xmas card, it was so sweet of you to think of us.
Be sure and keep Jack in town and don’t let anything keep you all from coming –
Sincerely,
Pat
