Dearest Evelyn,

You are one swell girl with plenty of sense, so I’ve made up my mind to take your advice. It was absolutely nonesense [sic] the way I acted last night and am I suffering from it now. I can do what I decide, so from now its going to be the Evelyn Carter method.

I really appreciate you coming by the store. I let my temper get away for just a minute. I’m sorry. By all means keep the little red book for maybe I’ll get my name in it by the 4th of July, or Labor Day.

If I get to feeling better I’m going over to see what Clarence Wheeler’s proposition is to-night.

Come by the store Friday afternoon, even if you can’t stay but just a minute ‘cause I want to see you.

I do

Willie V.

P.S.

Although its it wasn’t your fault, do drive carefully.
